Projects and Repairs

The following is a partial list of the projects and repairs that we have completed over the past few months.

The sidewalk between buildings 3 & 4 was replaced and we also repaired the lighting and sprinkler system to that area.

  • We have moved the recycled bins from in front of the trash area to behind it at building 3 & 4 along with replacing the light bulb, a yellow stripe on the step, and putting signs up for that area for the guest.
  • The upper driveway circle and the parking lot was repaired, seal, and coated.
  • The office and laundry room remodel has been completed.
  • We are still in the process of adding the needed electrical upgrade to the laundry room. The contractors should be done with that in a couple of weeks.
  • All the stairways have been cleaned and repainted.
  • Spalding work on buildings 13,4, and six have been completed (Spalding is always ongoing for the buildings)
  • Water leaks in units 133, 132, and 119 have all been repaired.
  • The walkways lights between building 13 & 12 were repaired and some replaced.

The week of January 19th, 2021 the solar installation for the laundry room/office has been started.

We have changed the trash pickup back to 3 times a week.

New Ficus Palms have been planted behind building 12.

Also, we have hired two new employees for the office, Sanoe Kuia as a full-time employee and Hillary Franco as a part-time employee. I believe they will be a great addition to the Kihei Kai Nani staff.

As many of you might be aware long-time office staff Debbie Collins retired in December 2020 and we want to thank her for being a loyal long-time employee and hope she enjoys her new found freedom and makes the most of it!
