HIGH RISK COMPONENTS INSPECTION Attention Owners You will recall the Board of Directors of Kihei Kai Nani passed a high risk component resolution in May of 2016. The Board of Directors believes that it is in the best interest of the Association to identify high-risk components and to implement certain requirements with regard to those high-risk components in accordance with Chapter 514B. 2017 Thanksgiving at KKN

2017 KKN Thanksgiving Day Celebration Owners,residents,and guest of Kihei Kai Nani enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner out at the Pavilion in our complex.  While it was a bit windy everyone enjoyed themselves and the dinner was absolutely wonderful. Approximately 90 guests were joined by President of the Homeowners Association Ethel Belway and Board member Wayne Braid.  Guests included many from Canada, the USA of course, from Germany, the Netherlands and from South Africa. Transient Accommodations Tax ( TAT or Hotel Tax ) increase

Effective January 1, 2018, the Transient Accommodations Tax ( TAT or Hotel Tax ) will increase by 1%  – from 9.25% to 10.25%.  The rate applies to all transient rental accommodation statewide. The Transient Accommodations Tax is levied upon every operator and plan manager on the gross rental or gross rental proceeds derived from furnishing transient accommodations. KKN Gets New TV Cable and Wifi Package from Spectrum Our cable TV and Internet supplier, Oceanic Time Warner Cable, has been sold to Spectrum. By the end of 2017, Spectrum will be upgrading all bulk properties, such as ours, to Standard (Digital) Service, which will require a converter box for each TV in your unit. They are offering 2 converter boxes for each unit at no extra cost, while they are installing them. (If you do not have a TV cable to your bedroom and you want one, you will have to hire someone privately to install it.) Spectrum wants
