Manager’s Report June 27, 2018 Projects and Repairs on the Property over the Past Month   Gas Line • Replaced main gas line from the large propane tank to laundry room. Trees, Hedges, Plants Trimmed trees on Lot 1-A; removed four palms. Trimmed hedge by fence at north side of the property. Planted 4 Coconut Palms to replace those that were removed. Planted row of Tee plants along the end of building 6. Added some Ice Cycle plants beside the planter boxes of building 2. More will be added. Walkways and Stairs Finished new walkway from parking lot to building

2017 Thanksgiving at KKN

2017 KKN Thanksgiving Day Celebration Owners,residents,and guest of Kihei Kai Nani enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner out at the Pavilion in our complex.  While it was a bit windy everyone enjoyed themselves and the dinner was absolutely wonderful. Approximately 90 guests were joined by President of the Homeowners Association Ethel Belway and Board member Wayne Braid.  Guests included many from Canada, the USA of course, from Germany, the Netherlands and from South Africa. Lawrence F Lowery Memorial Bench

Transient Accommodations Tax ( TAT or Hotel Tax ) increase

Effective January 1, 2018, the Transient Accommodations Tax ( TAT or Hotel Tax ) will increase by 1%  – from 9.25% to 10.25%.  The rate applies to all transient rental accommodation statewide. The Transient Accommodations Tax is levied upon every operator and plan manager on the gross rental or gross rental proceeds derived from furnishing transient accommodations. Gross rental or gross rental proceeds derived from transient accommodations furnished could be subject to different tax rates depending on the timing of the payments received under the cash basis accounting method and on the outcome of the all events test under the
